This is an in-person workshop, teaching Python to business professionals. It will be held over two half days (9am-1.30pm) on the 20th and 27th October2025, in our offices in London’s Canary Wharf.
The sessions mix coding concepts with practical tools relevant to office work. Throughout, we highlight key principles of process automation.
Participants learn how to build workflows, make use of freely available tools, and tap external APIs. No prior coding knowledge is required.
AI plays a central role in the workshop. Participants learn how to pair-program with LLMs (such as ChatGPT) to smooth the path towards working solutions.

From familiar data (Excel, Word, images) into machine-processable data
The basics of data science: variables, arrays, strings, dictionaries, dataframes
Flow control and implementing business logic into code
Modules, packages and APIs: all the handy stuff for your day-to-day work
Business process pitfalls and code solution shapes
Pattern matching and regular expressions (time permitting)

Laptop on which you can install software (Anaconda and VS Code – guidelines will be provided ahead of time)
